Bikini body diet

Well, obviously, the right exercises are key to give you the shape that will make you feel very comfortable in your bikini. But, there’s no amount of working out that can make up for an unfit diet.

I have to make it clear to everyone from the start, if the goal is to improve your figure or transform your body then nutrition should be the most important component of your fitness.

As I always say, it is much easier to only eat what you’re going to burn than trying to burn what you eat. Pretty simple right? Well, apparently not, I see so many people caught in that never ending cycle of “I ate so bad yesterday I need to do some extra crunches etc… Look at all the treadmills at most gyms, all those people have very similar reasons to be spending a lot of time on those machines trying to burn what they ate – it doesn’t work, unless you’re planning to spend 5-7 hours a day racing at a very hard pace on a bicycle like those guys in Le Tour de France, then you can eat pretty much whatever you want and still lose weight (those guys burn up to 10,000 calories a day) want to join them?

Eat

Make food work for you, eat food that is hard to digest like ample amounts of lean protein and fibrous carbs(spinach, salads, broccoli) which causes your body to work really hard to digest them, burning up a lot of calories in the process.

Eating that way will minimize the cravings for carbs which are really important but easily overdone if your stomach is not full enough from all the fat burning components I just mentioned.

Only eat when you’re hungry?

Nonsense, I hear a lot of people saying that – even so called ” fitness experts” recommending that. My suggestion is NOT to allow your body to build up a huge appetite, eat the right foods often enough so your portions are better controlled and your cravings will be reduced, maybe even eliminated. A huge appetite may lead to huge portions, or at least more calories than what you’re going to be burning.

Healthy fats

If you don’t want to gain body fat from the food you eat, then you need to stay full and satisfied throughout the day so you feel in control and not go for the obviously fattening foods. In addition to my suggetions above, eating very small and frequent amounts of healthy fats( walnut, almond, flax) throughout the day will help with the urges to eat things which will interfere with that bikini body.

Take control, there’s no reason why you should be covering up from embarassent in the summer, trust me, you can make it happen! Set your goal and go with it. You’ll feel a lot better about your health and yourself.
